Privacy notice

This is the pre-launch site for Alternative Insights. It collects one thing: your email address, and only if you choose to give it. This notice explains what happens to it.

Who we are

Alternative Insights Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company no. 08673558), registered office 3 Cresswell Gardens, London SW5 0BJ, United Kingdom. For any privacy question or request, contact info@alternativeinsights.ai.

What we collect and why

If you sign up, we store your email address and the date and time you confirmed it (your consent record). We use it only to send you occasional updates about the works, and the findings when they are ready. Lawful basis: your consent.

We use double opt-in: after you enter your address we email you a link, and you are only added once you click it. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.

Telling us what you'd value

If you use the “shape what we're building” panel to answer a few questions, we store your answers so we can learn what to build. Leaving your name and email there is optional; we only store them if you tick the consent box, and use them only to send you a copy of your answers, share what we learn from everyone's, and reply. Lawful basis: your consent (and our legitimate interest in improving what we offer). You can ask us to erase your answers at any time.

Cookies and local storage

We set no non-essential cookies and show no cookie banner, because we use none for anonymous visitors. The site stores a small counter in your browser's local storage to remember how many times you have moved the “37” tile during a visit. That never leaves your device and is not personal data.

Who processes your data

We use a small number of processors to run the site and send email: hosting (Vercel, EU region), database (Neon, EU region), email delivery (Resend), and privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Vercel Web Analytics). Analytics counts page views and a few anonymous events; it does not use cookies, profile you, or track you across sites.

How long we keep it

We keep your address until you unsubscribe, ask us to erase it, or after 24 months of inactivity — whichever comes first — after which we remove it promptly.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, erase it, or withdraw your consent — just email the address above. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

This notice is a working draft pending founder and legal review.
